| New York Draws Blanks Against Nola Tuesday, August 30th , 1910 Aaron Nola handcuffed the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium today, coming away with a 5-hit, complete game shutout.
"I had everything working for me out there," the Philadelphia Athletics right-hander said later. "I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted."
With his stuff working, Nola had little trouble with the Yankees and led the Athletics to victory, 1-0. He recorded 7 strikeouts and 3 walks in an impressive performance.
So far this season, Nola has logged a 14-7 record with a 4.48 ERA. He has started 27 games, hurled 187 innings and registered 182 strikeouts and 57 walks.
