| It's Over: Doves Stop Roseman Thursday, September 1st , 1910 It just wasn't James Roseman's day.
The Chicago Cubs took the 7-1 win today over the Boston Doves, but the Doves mound staff did what nobody else could -- they stopped the 22-game hitting streak of Cubs right fielder James Roseman.
"We might have focused a bit too much on stopping Roseman," Boston manager Chuck Hildebrandt commented afterward. "He had a nice hitting streak going, but the Cubs have other hitters and they did their job today."
This year Roseman is hitting at a .352 pace with 5 home runs and 29 RBIs. He has played in 74 games and scored 42 times. | | |
