Arenado Goes Deep Twice, Helps Yankees Top Twins, 9-4 | Nolan Arenado drove in 5 runs to help New York defeat Minnesota, 9-4. The third baseman had 1 double and 2 home runs for the Yankees. Bob Grim, who went 7.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 11 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 7-16. Arenado had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-0 fastball from Stephen Strasburg, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Yankees a 5-4 lead. It was the 18th home run of the year for Arenado.
