White Sox Cut Down Twins, 9-5
Minnesota first baseman Dave Orr was sensational. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Chicago beat the Twins, 9-5. Chicago currently is in 5th place in the AL at 33-40.

The White Sox got a big at-bat from right fielder Carlos Gonzalez. For the game, Gonzalez went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Chicago a 5-3 lead.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Gonzalez, "and then get after it again."
