Stahl Shines in 5-1 Chicago Win | Getting offensive support from Jake Stahl, the Chicago White Sox topped the Philadelphia Athletics, 5-1. Stahl went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the White Sox. Bill Hawke, the winner, improved to 7-6. He held the Athletics to 1 run on 4 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 7. At 43-49, the White Sox claim 5th place in the AL.
Chicago took a 3-0 lead on Stahl's 11th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Aaron Nola in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Chicago to the win.
