Twins Clip White Sox, 7-6 | Chicago first baseman Jake Stahl was sensational. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Minnesota beat the White Sox, 7-6. Pete Redfern, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings. Glen Perkins, credited with the save, is now 14 for 19 in save opportunities.
Had Dave Orr not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Orr hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Twins.
"Nothing is scripted in this game," said Orr.
Minnesota occupies 4th place in the AL at 48-50. | | | | |
