Philadelphia Draws Blanks Against Borowy Monday, September 5th , 1910 Hank Borowy of the Chicago Cubs overwhelmed the Philadelphia Phillies and walked off the mound with a complete-game shutout. He blanked them 4-0 on 7 hits with a total of 5 strikeouts and 2 walks.
"Hank was on quite a roll," Chicago manager Mike Woodsum said. "He gets great late movement and he doesn't give in to the hitters."
For this year Borowy has chalked up 14 wins and 10 losses in 28 starts with 136 strikeouts in 204.2 innings and a 4.88 ERA.
