Orioles Turn Back Boston, 2-1
Baltimore got a first-rate effort from pitcher Dick Hall, who frustrated Boston hitters en route to a 2-1 Orioles triumph at Fenway Park. Gregg Olson earned the save, his 4th. Boston falls to 7-8.

Baltimore relied on the hitting of Alvin Davis to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Orioles on top, 2-0. For the game, Davis had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"If you ever get this game figured out," said Boston manager Timothy Keene, "let me know."
