Orioles Need Extra Frames to Get Past Yankees | The Baltimore Orioles beat the New York Yankees, 2-1, at Memorial Stadium. Starting pitcher Jack Kramer was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Baltimore reliever Charlie Hastings picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Bill Stafford absorbed the loss. The Yankees fall to 9-12 and continue their lackluster start in 1910.
The Orioles procured the win, in large part because of right fielder Randy Arozarena. In the bottom of the 13th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said New York manager Dan Goodman. | | | | |
