Orioles Improve to 11-11 with 2-1 Win | The Baltimore Orioles picked up a win at Memorial Stadium, knocking off the New York Yankees, 2-1. Starting pitcher Mike Cuellar was an essential part of his team's success. Cuellar picked up the win for Baltimore, going 8.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Gregg Olson recorded his 5th save for Baltimore.
Cal Abrams's at-bat in the bottom of the fourth was significant for the Orioles. Coming to the plate with runners on 1st and 2nd and Baltimore leading 1-0, the Orioles center fielder hit a run-scoring single.
"This was a tough loss," said New York manager Dan Goodman. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
