Davis Leads Orioles to 6-5 Win Over White Sox | Alvin Davis helped his team muscle past the Chicago White Sox, 6-5. In the game, the Baltimore first baseman was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Baltimore pitcher Dick Hall got the win, upping his record to 18-4. Andy Cooper got the loss. Brian Sikorski earned his 9th save in 10 chances.
With Baltimore leading 3-2 in the bottom of the fourth, Davis hit a 2-run single off Chicago hurler Andy Cooper. It was the 159th hit of the season for Davis and put his team ahead, 5-2.
"It feels good to get this one," Davis told the Baltimore Bulletin.
