Yankees Suffer 7-4 Home Loss | The Philadelphia Athletics beat the New York Yankees, 7-4, at Yankee Stadium. Matt Olson, in particular, was impressive. He was 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Harry Krause got the win, improving to 8-0. He worked 8.1 innings, giving up 4 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. The win puts Philadelphia at 42-12 this season.
Al Simmons hit a 2-run triple off Ray Keating in the top of the first, which put the Athletics in front, 2-0. Simmons had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.
