Giants Win, 7-5, in Extra Frames
The New York Giants weathered a fine game by Cincinnati shortstop Glenn Crawford to upend the Redlegs, 7-5, at Crosley Field. Crawford was 5 for 6 with 5 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Giants raised their record to 28-37.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Roger Connor came to bat in the top of the 11th. Facing Cincinnati pitcher Cardell Camper, he hit a 2-0 curveball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting New York on top, 7-5.

"It was terrific getting this win," Connor said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
