Lowenstein Slugs Doves to 9-3 Win
Boston right fielder John Lowenstein contributed to his team's 9-3 win over the New York Giants. Lowenstein went 2 for 4 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Doves. The Doves raised their record to 5-3.

Boston used the clutch hitting of Jimmy Williams to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Doves ahead, 5-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Chuck Hildebrandt said.
