Cardinals Take Nail-Biter Over Pirates | St. Louis Cardinals starter Nat Hudson was in fine form against the Pittsburgh Pirates at Busch Stadium, leading his team to a win, 4-3. The winner was Bob Miller in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Tommy Atkins took the loss. St. Louis goes to 7-10.
The most significant at-bat for St. Louis came with a runner on 2nd in the bottom of the ninth. Cardinals right fielder Ken Griffey hit a run-scoring single to win the game.
