Dodgers Edge Past Giants, 1-0 | The Los Angeles Dodgers eked out a 1-0 win versus the New York Giants at Candlestick Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Clem Labine. He was terrific. Labine got the win, improving to 4-2. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 7.2 innings. Labine allowed no runs. The win puts Los Angeles at 15-25.
Michael Cuddyer made it 1-0 in favor of Los Angeles when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with one out in the top of the eighth. The Dodgers went on to win.
