| Boston Gets 4-3 Win | Baltimore got a decent performance from pitcher Dave McNally, but it wasn't enough to beat the Boston Americans. Boston won the Memorial Stadium contest, 4-3. McNally threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Nels Potter, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 13th save. The loss makes Baltimore 23-29.
Boston relied on the hitting of Kyle Schwarber to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Americans on top, 2-1. For the game, Schwarber had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Schwarber.
