Carlson Leads Cleveland to 1-0 Win | The Cleveland Blues eked out a 1-0 win versus the New York Yankees at Progressive Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Hal Carlson. He was terrific. Irv Young closed it out for his 20th save. The Blues, at 54-68, sit in 7th place in the AL.
Carlson, who was born in Rockford, Illinois, threw 137 pitches over 8.1 innings, while allowing no runs.
