| Phillies Take Down Pirates, 8-5 | The Philadelphia Phillies grabbed a win, 8-5, over the Pittsburgh Pirates at Citizens Bank Park. Philadelphia second baseman Jimmy Rollins went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 3 times. Manuel Corpas, 3-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. The Phillies go to 17-42 with the win.
Philadelphia took a 6-5 lead on Johnny Mokan's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Pittsburgh pitcher Brian Fuentes in the bottom of the seventh.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Mokan told the Philadelphia Observer.
