5 Hits for Dodgers Sax
It was a sensational day at the plate for Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Steve Sax, but a tough one for the team, as the Dodgers dropped the contest 11-8 to the Chicago Cubs.

Even with the loss, Sax was pure misery for the Chicago pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked after going 5-for-6 in an explosive display of hitting.

"It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win," said Sax, who is the 26-year old second baseman .

"Sax really hit the ball hard and when you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage," Cubs manager Mike Woodsum told BNN reporters after the game. "I feel like we threw him some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."

Steve Sax doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.

Sax is hitting .301 in 1910 with 50 RBIs and 3 home runs.
